Week 10 - Tutorial feedback

This week I was fortunate enough to have the guest lecturer, Alexis Sanal, as well as our regular lecturer sit in on my project presentation. It seemed to be well received on whole and I personally am very happy with the way it is beginning to resolve from a future fiction to a tangible and grounded design. From watching the other presentations I believe one of the bonuses of my project is that I have not focused on a future technology being the crux of my fiction, but rather on a social issue that uses relatively low tech features. This has allowed me to really understand and comprehend the technology I am using, as well as not being caught up in a technology and not actually seeing the bigger picture of the design.

Saying this however, there are still some big steps that need to be made in my project. Some of the resounding questions asked of me were surrounding the delivery of this storytelling, if it were prompted in some ways as well as how it was managed in terms of editing.

Varying from an architectural project I think it is comparable to suggest I have the floor plans close to laid out and now need to detail away. After all, the strength of a project is always in the detail.
