The Silent History - A similar project in geotagged storytelling

Sourced from: www.thesilenthistory.com

I found this project just last week and immediately saw the relevance to my project. This is a fictional ebook which has used geotagging in a similar way to what I am proposing... To strengthen the power of a story with a location you can actually be in while listening/reading it. To my knowledge, the geotagged part of this ebook is actually a side note to the main storyline and done in a field report style (like a private investigator's notes) as opposed to the written storyline. While it comes as no shock that this idea of geotagging and storytelling have come together in other places and designs also, it is good to see the feedback and publicity this project has created which shows the power of a location based story.

This video also shows a really good way in presenting this concept, showing the power of image and spoken voice together. I still believe there is a great difference through the aims and concept of this project and mine, however it is good to take inspiration from such a developed outcome here.
